PU3 has its beginnings in the 1990s as Lea-Myns when Raja Noora Ashikin channeled her creativity for charities assisting orphans & sharing her skills with rural women. She made her own potpourri accessories, wedding gifts, shoes & bags. She started making some of these for friends upon her moving to Kuala Lumpur in 2000, when many appreciated her creativity. The proceeds went to charity.
The visionary mum incorporated PU3 Sdn Bhd in April 2004 just in case her twin daughters Putri Azalea Ashram Ramli & Putri Yasmin Ashram Ramli would want to follow her footsteps and expland her hobby into a business venture. Upon their return from their studies in the United Kingdom in 204, the twins in fact had bigger dreams. They want to be an international brand. The name PU3 was coined by the twin's father Ramli Ngah Talib to stand for his three darling princesses (PUTRI in Malay.
Azalea holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) while Yasmin holds a Bachelor of Fashion Design & Marketing, Both parents felt that they need to be better equipped & so bck to the UK they went in 2005 to pursue courses in Jewelry Making (Azalea) & Retailing (Yasmin).
PU3 started its product operations aggressively at home in 2006. On 15th December 2006, PU3 opened its doors at The CURVE Muitara Damansara. The three designers have different styles & tastes & the fusion of ideas reveals an interesting array of designs that remain refreshingly modern. PU3 is indeed the work of three women who have flair for fashion. They are involved ub the creative process of all the products & are always exploring new insporation.
PU3 is more than fashion. It goes beyond the borders of creativity. This spirit embodies PU3's philosophy and every year it does its bit for charity. | |
